3rd to 6th Naked Petanque Doubles The Naturist Foundation Brockenhurst Kent.

This annual doubles event used to be a mixed doubles but is now open to teams of any gender. The British Championship is also a qualifier of the International Naturist Federation European championships to be held later in the year.

The Friendship Tour  Dates 10th June -21st June. 2024. 

Accommodation  - On the 4 star Campsite Camping Monplaisir ,Vendres Plage , nr Beziers.

Chalets -    Chicoulet with the following facilities  

 A/C, 2 bedrooms (double and twin) , Shower/Toilet, Living area fully equipped with a fridge, cooking utensils and crockery, full terrace and table and chairs.  Possible to hire Bed linen and Towels (saves luggage space?), Two persons per chalet.

Site amenities-

Pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, large slide, Bar /Restaurant, Small shop, Laundry and Showers, Direct access to a large beach, Petanque area

Tour Details 

Matches visiting 5 French local clubs. Free transport and each club provide a competition, 3 course meal with free wine, for a small fee around 15pp.                                                          

 These clubs are invited towards the end of the tour to join us on our campsite for a larger competition with prizes and music.                                                                                                            

 On days of no boule against the French clubs we hold our own competitions on the campsite (Some French join us?}

There are several places to visit of interest -World Heritage 9 Locks, Beziers, Carcassonne, Grotte de Clamouse and a local bus service or taxis can be arranged at a low cost.

Travel.

Self-Drive or Flight - Ryanair are the preferred flights, who fly from a number of UK airport, as the Beziers airport is only 15 mins from our campsite.  Airport transfers to the campsite from Beziers airport are within the cost. Slightly complicating this is that Ryanair are not flying into this destination on Mondays for 2024. You can therefore arrive on the site for Friday, Saturday, Sunday at a small extra charge? Or Tuesday morning?

There are also flights into Montpellier or Toulouse with other companies, but these entail a transfer fee or a train journey to Beziers station and then a free transfer.

Cost

£425pp for Sunday or Tuesday arrivals, £450pp for the Saturday and £47pp5 for the Friday arrival.

This payment includes accommodation, matches (but not the small payment for the meal), transport rtn to these matches, visit to local market. Use of all campsite facilities and a 24hr guide-me!

GENERAL INFORMATION

· This is a fun event aimed at all ages and abilities. No previous experience necessary.

· Entry Fee £28.00 per team. Closing date for entries 14th July 2024.

· Teams of 4. In each match 3 will be nominated to play and the fourth team member will act as measurer. This can be rotated.

· During the morning a round robin will be played in leagues. During the afternoon the top 2 in each league will play in a knock out competition. Those not in the top 2 will play in a plate knock out competition.

· Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the day.

· A place at the event will not be confirmed until a completed application form and the entry fee is received.

· Metal boules to be used (6 per team.) Please bring your own metal boules. These price from less than £10 for recreational sets to expensive competition boules. Please mark them in such a way that you can identify them. If this causes difficulty please contact us.

· Details of rules and timings will be sent out prior to the event.

18th The Tom Turner Coates Village Pairs.  It’s the big ONE! The 30th Anniversary event. Regularly attracting over 100 teams this doubles event brings together some of the best teams in the country together with league, club and fun players. A unique annual opportunity, established in 1994 to play on gravel driveways in the village of Coates, centered at and around the Vine Public House. PE7 2BJ. This unique event is challenging as well as great fun. Hog roast, ice creams as well as food from the Pub or local shop make it a superb day to meet old and new friends in a village atmosphere. Bring a picnic and enjoy the village green. If you have never played here it is a must enter event. Entry is required in advance by 11th August please. Limited to 100 teams
