Busks To cover or not cover?
A simple corset has two options of busks. Not the mechanism but whether they are exposed or covered. The simple busk cover is a fold of fabric over the top of the busks. This gives a smooth appearance but can be a little bulky at the front of the corset. A similar problem to modesty flaps, they can add bulk to an item of clothing trying to reduce the profile of the waist. Clean simple lines are corsets without busk covers. It also gives the added pleasure or a glint of light of the busks. A tell tell sign a corset is being worn. Some people love it some people prefer to keep a corset hidden.
One of the best examples of this is Leona Lewis in the Run Video. Filmed in a dark wood you can just see the glint of the busks on the corset.
